In our 12.09.2011 dated announcement the necessity for contract manufacturers and pharmaceutical wholesalers to obtain a GLN number for themselves by getting into contact with GS1 Turkey (TOBB) had been indicated. During this period it has been determined that pharmaceutical wholesalers have not obtained a GLN number for themselves and notified it to İEGM. And it has ben deemed suitable to remind our stakeholders again. The works made under the scope of Phase II are stated below in detail:

1. ITS will only use the GLN information of the central wholesaler of pharmaceutial wholesalers and deactivate the Branch GLN’s. In this case pharmaceutical wholesalers will have to manage the logistic operations between its branches on its own and make the ITS notifications by using the central wholesaler GLN only. Along the same line all kinds of stakeholders making trade with pharmaceutical wholesalers should use the GLN of the central wholesaler. For the ShipTo field in the PTS Files pharmaceutical wholesalers should continue their operaiton by sharing the branch GLN’s with the stakeholders.
2. Pharmaceutical Wholesalers should also contact GS1 Turkey (TOBB) and obtain a GLN number for themselves and notify it to İEGM since they will also be producing transfer packages.
3. Since the Phase II application will step in as of January 1, 2012 pharmaceutical wholesalers should complete these operations urgently and share the necessary information with the stakeholders.
