23.02.2010 | Dispatches in Cases When Half of the Products are with DataMatrix |
Some expressions from the Social Security Institution Prescription Examination Units have reached our General Directorate about pharmacies giving in half of the pharmaceuticals with barcode clip offs and the other half with DataMatrix in compensating pharmaceuticals; stating that all pharmaceuticals should be either with DataMatrix or barcode clip offs. A transition period has been given until 01.01.2011 in the Regulation Regarding the Packaging and Labeling of Medicinal Products for Human Use under the scope of the application of DataMatrix. In the meantime; in the case when half of the given pharmaceuticals are with DataMatrix, the pharmacist will notify these pharmaceuticals to the Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System, and add the clipped barcodes of the remaining pharmaceuticals to the invoice and send it to the reimbursement companies. The reimbursement companies will be aware that all pharmaceuticals will come in in two different ways during the transition period and act accordingly. Applications made in the contrary are against the legislation.
