27.04.2010 | About Usage of DataMatrix for Medical Devices Not Being Obligatory |
According to the Regulation Regarding the Packaging and Labeling of Medicinal Products for Human Use DataMatrix will be printed on;
Medical devices are out of the scope of this regulation and there is no regulation made by our General Directorate concerning the labeling of medical devices with DataMatrix. It is not obligatory to print DataMatrix on medical devices and consumable material (including Blood Glucose Test Strips). In addition a tracking method of such products has not been determined by the Turkish Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System, and there is still no such tracking. In this respect it is kindly announced that rumours that medical devices will be payed by getting an approval from the Turkish Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System should not be given credit to, and that the practices for medical devices is continuing as it did in the past. |
