As it is already known the Turkish Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System will start to be used by the pharmacies as of May 16.

The products produced with DataMatrix must absolutely be notified to the system before they are released to the market. The notifications of the products with DataMatrix in the market should absolutely be made without wasting time.

We are receiving complaints from pharmacies that there are “products whose production notification have not been done even though they have been produced with DataMatrix”, if this case is true our citizens will have a hard time accessing pharmaceuticals when this practice is put into effect. Therefore, our Manufacturer/Importer Companies should control the feedback sent to them by ITS and notify the lacking products as soon as possible.

In addition it has been observed that there are some products to which a response is returned saying that the “DataMatrix Content is Incoherent”. Companies are responsible of the legibility of all their products and the correctness of the transferred notifications.

Since the above stated reasons can pave the way to problems during the dispatch of products with DataMatrix in pharmacies, the best way is that companies inspect the legibility of all their products in pharmacies and make reports on the suitability of the complaints.

As various precautions related to the pharmaceutical licenses can be made for companies which remain insensitive on these issues it should also be expected that pharmacies which experience dispatch problems with certain products can develop an attitude to return products compulsorily.

I kindly request you to take necessary action so that secondary problems which can negatively affect the operation of the system and unnecessary correspondences are not caused.
