02.11.2011 | About the Service Interruption of the Turkish Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System

The infrastructure and software of the Turkish Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System which has been put into service without any interruptions with great devotion since May 16, 2010, will be transferred to new servers in order to give better service to you and to strengthen our infrastructure before Phase 2. Therefore ITS will temporarily be out of service. Subsequent to the completion of the works, the system will be put into service again.

Pharmacists will be able to make Dispatch Notifications to ITS after the system runs again by storing the prescriptions and DataMatrix of the pharmaceuticals given to the patients during the interruption in their own systems.

According to the 2010/39 numbered circular it has been stated that it is obligatory for pharmacies to make “Product Purchase Notifications”. If we consider that pharmacies which guarantee the reliability of the products in their stocks by making “Product Purchase Notifications” and prevent their products from being sold by another stakeholder, it is certain that pharmacies which make “Product Purchase Notifications” will make it through this process with a lot less problems.

It is announced to our stakeholders that it is necessary to take necessary precautions so that they do not get damaged during this interruption.

Although an interruption period of 9 days during the holidays have been announced previously, the system will be shut down as of 21:00 pm on Saturday November 05, 2011 and it has been planned to be put in service again as soon as possible presumably at 08:00 am on Thursday November 10, 2011. Thus it is expected that only the pharmacists’ on-duty will be affected at minimum level and that they lend assistance to us. We are grateful to our pharmacists who show understanding in this period of system transfer as they already have up until today.
