03.07.2012 | Public Information – The Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System Operates Trouble-Free

At various times, news which give place to false and groundless allegations due to the lack of information about the Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System are being published. In the related news it is indicated that people are aggrieved due to the interruptions in the Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System. It is especially observed that in the message transmitted in the interface of the Medula application carried out within the Social Security Institution which says that a connection to ITS could not be established is understood in the way that ITS does not operate.

The Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System operates consistently since May 27, 2010. The planned maintenance interruptions are made informing the stakeholders beforehand on holidays and during the least used hours. With the exception to these planned interruptions the Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System has rendered service consistently and continues to do so. However the grievances that are generated from the different softwares and applications used by our stakeholders should not be attributed to ITS. Hence, whether ITS operates or not  is easily understandable through a basic query.

Even though this innovative  and unique project has been successfully applied in Turkey for the first time,  serves as a model for the world and is appreciated by all countries, it is watched with great sadness that the project does not receive its well-deserved value in our country and is subject to misguided news in the printed media due to the lack of knowledge. The interruptions and received errors generating from the systems of different agencies and institutions are being attributed to our project  and the Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System which takes firm steps forward to being a success story is being blocked by groundless news. The emergent allegations are negatively affecting the Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System project which is denotative of Turkey’s success in the information sector to the whole world and increases our national brand value.

ITS which is being operated successfully, is introduced to participants in various meetings abroad and representatives of different countries which visit our agency. We have a portal from which the people and the media may get more detailed information on this project, and the “Events” page in our portal can be visited to read more about the relevant visits. The support of our people and thus our media to such a successfully operating project will result in a more beneficial situation in terms of the development and future of Turkey’s health sector.

Announced respectfully to the Public.
