An ITS Visit from Ukraine Ministry of Health

A 5 person committee from The State Administration of Ukraine on Medicinal Products came to Ankara on September 7, 2012 to view and familiarize with the Turkish Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System (ITS) on-site.

Deputy Head of Department of the State Quality Control for Medicinal Products Dr. Iryna SUVOROVA, Head of International Relations Ivan VOLKOV, Head of IT Department Oleksii Lytvynenko and 2 IT personnel listened ITS presentation about ITS processes, short and long term objectives and achieved successes and then they visited manufacturer, and pharmacy to view the ITS processes and applications on site. In this context;

• For the manufacturer ITS processes and applications, Drogsan manufacturer company,
• For the pharmay ITS processes and applications, Ankara Vatan pharmacy visits have been made.

After the visits, the committee made a meeting with the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency Director Dr. Saim KERMAN, listened the gained experiences with the ITS and be informed about recall and quality authorization process.

The committee has also made a meeting with ITS technical team and got information about ITS infrastructure and ITS applications. They find the technical infrastructure and applications very successful and they congratulated ITS technical team for the great job that has been done with the ITS.

At the end of the day, the committee expressed their satisfaction and pleasures, and left from us with their wishes of mutual collaboration and to meet again.
